About us
Invoicing that gets the tax right, wherever you do business
Invoiceo is an invoicing and bookkeeping tool for small businesses in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE and Canada. We built it because a shopkeeper, a freelancer or a wholesaler should not need an accountant to send a correct bill, or a big accounting package to see who still owes them money.
Why we exist
Small businesses lose hours to spreadsheets, hand-written bills and tax rules that change from country to country, and one wrong tax line on an invoice can mean an awkward call with a customer or an accountant. We wanted one simple place where you pick your customer, add items, and get a clean, correct invoice in about a minute.
What you can do with it
- Make invoices, quotations, delivery challans, and credit and debit notes as PDFs.
- Record part and full payments and refunds, and see who is paid, pending or overdue.
- Track customers, suppliers, products, expenses, purchases and stock.
- Send payment reminders (with a one-click unsubscribe for your customer).
- Run sales, tax, ageing and profit reports and export them for your accountant.
- Or make one invoice with no account at all.
How we handle tax
Built for five countries, each on its own rules
Choose your country and the whole product speaks it: currency and number format, the tax name, state or province lists, tax-number checks and the wording on your invoice. These are the rules we implement today.
India
GSTCGST + SGST (or UTGST) inside a state and IGST between states, decided from your state and the place of supply. Regular, SEZ and export supplies, composition dealers (Bill of Supply), reverse charge, HSN/SAC codes, GSTIN check-digit validation, and e-invoice data in the government format.
United States
Sales taxSales tax at the rate you set per item, tax-exempt customers (for example with a resale certificate), state checks, and EIN and routing-number checks.
United Kingdom
VATVAT at the rate you set, VAT-number checks, sort-code checks, and an invoice that reads as a VAT invoice when you are registered.
United Arab Emirates
VAT5% VAT by default, Tax Registration Number (TRN) checks, emirates, IBAN checks, and Tax Invoice wording for registered businesses.
Canada
GST/HSTThe right GST or HST rate suggested for your province, business-number checks, province and postal-code checks, and transit-number checks.
Outside India, one tax is added per item at the rate you set, and you stay responsible for using the right rate, including zero-rated and exempt items. Tax rules change, so we show the working on every invoice and ask you to review it before you send it.
What we promise
Books you can trust
An issued invoice is never silently edited or deleted. You cancel it with a reason and make a new one, and a log shows who did what.
Your data is yours
We do not sell it, show ads, or run analytics trackers. The free invoice maker keeps nothing on our server.
Honest about limits
We are not a tax adviser, we are not approved by any tax authority, and we do not file your returns. We say so up front.
Checked, not guessed
The tax maths and the rules around it are covered by hundreds of automated tests, and the main flows are tested in a real browser whenever we change the code.
What Invoiceo does not do
Being clear about this is part of being trustworthy.
- It does not file your tax returns. You can export reports and give them to your accountant.
- It is not tax or legal advice, and it is not approved or certified by any tax authority.
- It does not look up local sales-tax rates in the USA or decide whether you must collect tax.
- It does not yet get real e-invoice numbers (IRN) from India's portal for you. It prepares the file and tests the flow in a sandbox.
Check the rules at the source
We do not ask you to take our word for the tax rules. These are the official places to read them, and the ones to follow if anything here seems out of date.
Who is behind it
Invoiceo is an independent product, not owned by or connected to any tax authority or accounting-software company. You can read how we treat your information in our Privacy Policy and the rules of use in our Terms of Service.
